The vision of our Women's Ministry is to seek to obey Christ's Great Commission.  We endeavor to do so by encouraging women to worship God through a lifestyle of Bible study, prayer, fellowship, and service.  It is our desire to achieve a balance between being ministered to and ministering to others.  It is our heartfelt belief that as women grow and mature in godliness, they are better equiped to nurture and serve in their families, to enrich the church, and to evangelize their communities.

"And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, a mature man, to the measure of the stature that belongs to the fullness of Christ.  As a result, we are no longer to be children, tossed here and there by waves and carried about by every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, by craftiness in deceitful scheming; but speaking the truth in love, we are to grow up in all aspects into Him who is the head, even Christ, from whom the whole body, being fitted and held together by what every joint supplies, according to the proper working of each individual part, causes the growth of the body for the building up of itself in love." Ephesians 4:11-16

Our focus for this year is personal revival through seeking Christ first.

Ladies' Bible Study and Fellowship

There will be a Ladies' Bible study on Wednesday nights starting January 6, going through March 31, on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m. The study will be "Becoming a Woman That Pleases God". "Growing in Faith" is a group of three women meeting together to foster in one another an ever-increasing faith in Jesus Christ. We desire to encourage one another to live each day as a reflection of the love that God has bestowed upon us by glorifying God with all our thoughts, words, and actions. This will be accomplished through fellowship, accountability, intercession, training from God's Word, and help through encouragement and service to others. See Kerry Wilson to join a Group

Special Events

•  On the first Saturday in December the Women's Ministry hosts our annual Christmas dinner.
• On Maundy Thursday we host a family Seder meal. This includes a meal and worship service commemorating the last supper, or the last Passover meal Jesus celebrated with His disciples.
• During the Winter months we have an overnight retreat. This is an evening of bible study, prayer, and worship. Also included in food, fun, and fellowship.
• During the summer we have a Ladies' sleepover.

Service and Witness
Another key component to our spiritual growth is service. There are several ways you can help.

• Our Women's Ministry Council meets first Monday of each month at 7:00 pm to plan our ministry activities and events.  See Lynn Christy or Christie Vaughn for more information.
• The Meal Ministry is a tangible opportunity for all of us to express our love and care for the church body.  The Women's Ministry coordinates meals for families during hospitalizations, prolonged illnesses, and during times of loss.  If you would like to volunteer to prepare an occasional meal please call the church office.
• Our various ministries and special events would no happen without all the behind the scenes work our ministry team does.  We have plenty of room for additional helpers in many areas.
