Our preaching is intended to point others to Jesus Christ, as was proclaimed by the first Christians.  We seek to exalt Christ and, even as he did, call people to follow him on the narrow way that leads to life.  We preach, "Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand."

Our preaching is intended first for the building up of Christ's church.  These sermons, mostly, come from the worship services at Cedar Grove Baptist Church.  These are services of worship, not evangelistic crusades.  The Church of Christ needs to be fed on God's words daily and weekly.  The Church needs to be equipped for unceasing worship of Christ.  In such worship, however, we always proclaim Christ and him crucified.  Therefore, by God's grace, the gospel is always presented.  The preaching at Cedar Grove intentionally blurs the line between edification and evangelism because believers and unbelievers, ultimately, have the same need: Jesus Christ, the Good Shepherd and only Savior given to earth.
